The Flame Hawkfish (Neocirrhites armatus) is a brilliant red gem with bold black markings along the dorsal fin and around the eyes. Full of personality, it spends its day perching on rockwork and coral branches, watching the tank with charming curiosity. One of the hardiest and most entertaining fish for reef aquariums.
Reef-safe with corals, though small ornamental shrimp may be at risk. Provide a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of live rock for perching and hiding. Feed a varied diet of meaty marine foods and frozen preparations.
- Care Level: Easy
- Temperament: Semi-aggressive
- Diet: Carnivore
- Reef Compatible: Yes (caution with small shrimp)
- Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons

Shipping
Orders are packed in a suitable insulated styrofoam box, with heat/ice packs according to the journey. They are packed to last more than 24 hours from the ship out time, but we always recommend to unpack as soon as convenient for you.
Quality
Our corals undergo a meticulous multi-stage quarantine process to ensure they are vibrant and healthy before being moving to our display tanks. From there, they are photographed and listed for sale, ready to bring a slice of living reef safely into your aquarium. As with any corals, we still recommend that you dip your corals upon arrival before moving to your display.
