We guarantee that your fish and corals arrive alive and in good health. If any coral arrives dead, please send us a clear photo within 24 hours of delivery. You won't pay for any coral that arrives dead. Please do not discard or return any item (even if the shipping box is damaged) until you've contacted us.

The Chocolate Tang (Acanthurus pyroferus), also known as the Chocolate Surgeonfish, is the mature form of the Mimic Tang. Its rich tan-to-chocolate body develops red highlights around the eyes and pectoral fins, with green hues in the dorsal, anal, and caudal fins — a subtle, handsome fish that's also a tireless algae grazer.

Provide a 130 gallon or larger aquarium with ample live rock for grazing and territory. Aggressive toward other tangs and surgeonfish but peaceful with most other fish. Offer marine-based seaweed and algae at least 3 times per week alongside meaty foods.
